The Artist
Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec (1864 – 1901) was a French painter, printmaker, draughtsman, caricaturist, and illustrator whose love of the theatres of Paris and bohemian lifestyle during the 1890s, brought to life some of France’s most iconic art, still popular today.

Although he was a count and an aristocrat, Toulouse-Lautrec loved three things; Women, Alcohol and Art. An unfortunate event in his childhood and a rare medical condition attributed to his extremely short stature as an adult. Subsequently he was extremely introverted, and loved nothing more than observing the society and life of late 1800s Paris, and drawing or painting what he saw around him.
